Who it is for
Who Untimer is for
Untimer is made for freelancers, creatives, students, developers and anyone else who loses track of time while they work, or finds it hard to start or to stop. Some have ADHD and many do not. A diagnosis is not needed to use Untimer.
What it does
What Untimer does in each case
You look up and an hour has gone.
The countdown is in the hourglass, in a readout and in the browser tab title, so you can see the time left while you work in another window. Each session is twenty five minutes and ends with a bell.
Starting is hard.
You press and hold the hourglass for two and a half seconds, and the session starts when you let go. Every session is twenty five minutes, so you can start without choosing a length.
Stopping is hard.
A bell ends each session after twenty five minutes, and a break scene replaces the hourglass. In Settings you can set the end of your working day, and the day strip shows a flag at that time.
A phone or a thought pulls you away.
Tap Interruption, choose Something in my head or Something around me, and write one line about it. The message box shows the line when you come back, so you can see where you stopped.
You cannot tell what you did today.
The day is drawn along the bottom of the screen from midnight to midnight, with every session standing on it at the hour it ran, so you can see on the screen what you did today and when.
A week goes by and you cannot say what you did.
Every session is written down. A week later there is a record instead of a feeling, and the record changes how the next week goes.
